Making up for lost time

I think my 3 favorite comics of all time are The Far Side, Calvin and Hobbes and Zits. My favorite Calvin and Hobbes always have to do with snowmen and i was surfing the internet and found a whole page of those types of commics:

Part of this is so i will have access to it.

What I learned as a woman

As a response to the video…

1.     Skirts are pretty cool, they keep you cool in the heat but its annoying to cross your legs that much

2.     I would have short hair cause getting hair caught in your mouth as your riding in the back of a pickup truck isn’t cool

3.     I need to work on my legs

4.     Corsets suck. I understand Elizabeth in Pirates of the Caribbean now, you don’t know pain until you’ve worn a corset. I would say if its that big a deal, you might as well take the pain in the form of exercise and loose those pounds

5.     I can’t swing my hips, I tried but it didn’t really work

6.     Danny, cankles still aren’t attractive, even when your wearing a dress

A Chance to Write

I started this blog as a chance to write. In my D&C class we’ve had to keep a reading journal about our thoughts. Since I’m studying exercise science, I never really have a chance to write. When we took our first D&C test, I’m pretty sure that’s the first essay test I’ve taken in 4 years. Now, especially since I have to take 2 english classes over the spring, I should get back in the habit of writing. One quote that always comes back to me from high school is: “I don’t know what I’m thinking until I say it, and I don’t know what I’m saying until I write it down.” I’m saying that I think about high level things often, that’s the problem. I’m trying to get myself back in the habit. And If I make myself accountable to this blog it will force me to think about and take sides on ideas. I really love to be informed on the issues and their causes. I try to stay current as best I can.  Politics aren’t that important to me right now, I’de rather study international relations issues. They are a heck of a lot more interesting to me. I don’t know exactly what I’ll write about, just whatever I want to go off on: natural selection, the Red Sox, something I learned about the body.  It just lets me think and express those thoughts. It gives my brain a chance to be creative.
